The Therapeutic Associates, Inc./Genr8 women’s cycling team has finalized our 2010 roster but we’re going to make you wait just a little bit to see who’s going to be racing in red. As this is only our second year, we’ve limited growth but we’re always looking for future racers.
Why does this take so long, and why are we limiting riders, you ask?
Well, to be totally blunt, it takes some real chemistry to make things right on a women’s cycling team. You’ve been there, done that, I know, and so have we. That’s why it’s so important to us to really get to know a rider’s style, personality, and passion for the sport. We’re picky, but we’re such a tightly knit supportive group that it’s critical that we have women on our team who can positively contribute to the team and the TAI athletic image. We filled our roster early on this year, but we still want to build relationships with potential riders for the future.

After a few weeks/months of recovering from the 2009 OBRA season, we’re starting to get geared up again for the 2010 racing season. It’s definitely taken awhile to transition from such a busy race schedule–as of November 1, the five of us have done 199 races in all seven disciplines!!!
So how are we moving forward? Well, we’re finalizing our 2010 roster. We’re having some preliminary team meetings to determine how we want to tackle the 2010 road season and pick which stage races we’re going to attend. We’re hoping to further develop relationships with our sponsors and reach out more to our fans–family, friends, and everyone else who provide us with encouragement and support.
Oh, yeah, and we’re going to ride in the rain, get covered in mud, have some fun at the remaining cyclocross races, get out into the forest, ride with friends, and sleep long hours while our muscles are burning hot, repairing themselves. And maybe drink some eggnog.

Hey all you ladies! This coming Saturday, October 3, the Therapeutic Associates Women’s Team is hosting their individual meet the team ride. We will be starting at Grand Central Bakery on 2249 NW York (same place that the general women’s meet the team ride started). The ride starts at 9:45am, so please show up a bit early to grab some coffee/grub and socialize a little bit.
The TAI womens team is an elite level team with mostly 1-2-3’s. We would love to meet riders of all levels, so feel free to come join us for a 35 mile loop around Sauvie island. The ride will be a conversational paced, no-drop ride.
